Sorana Toma

I am an Assistant Professor in Migration and Refugee Studies at Ghent University, within the Center for the Social Study of Migration and Refugees (CESSMIR). I am also a Research Associate at the Center for Research in Economics and Statistics (CREST) in Paris.

My research interests include:

• the drivers of international mobility,

• the spatial and economic incorporation of immigrants and their descendants at destination,

• life-course perspectives on migration and

• the role of social capital in international mobility.

I am also interested in the the political implications of migration and the links between migration and mass-mobilization.
