I'm through seven pages of preliminary editing so far. The audio will be a struggle because the external mic kept bumping around during the shoot so I'll have to come up with a solution for that. Mr. Kelman and I tested some blending and cross-fades, I really hope that works! Uanne and Amy's acting looks great.

Journal Entry

Edited for three hours today. Why do they keep it so cold in Polk ALL the TIME? My hands are so numb. I've put together an initial cut and color graded completely. I think I'm going for a warm, buttery yellow look? It matches the pineapple Uanne and Amy eat throughout the film and their skin tones. After all, this one is about race. I would like to use a Premiere LUT but I don't think I can find the exact one with the look I want so I just fiddled around until I got what I wanted. The next thing I need to do is fix all of the sound and blend it but that is work for another day.

Oh! I also learned how to use masking to make a title that interacts with the action in the video. Have always wanted to do that.
