Finalized version. I realize that the Google Doc link on the "Week 3" page automatically updated. All of my Chapters are in one Google Doc, so I might have to make separate ones later if Google Sites doesn't let me upload individual Word documents.
I said last week that I had finished my the screenplay for Chapter 1 but wasn't very satisfied with it. Well, now it's done! Conferencing about my writing with Mr. Kelman helped a lot--I think I'll explore the improv idea once my actors have settled on a shoot time. I also confirmed with Jack and Derrick that they are willing to be in Chapter 1. They really liked the screenplay when I sent it to them! We can't film this weekend and both have class during 7th period normally, but I'm hoping to film sometime during Week 5 since we have Monday off and Non Sibi Day on Thursday. I've also confirmed with Amy and Uanne that they are willing to act in Chapter 2. My goal right now is to finish writing and Chapter 2 because I think it'll be easier to schedule those two than it will to be to schedule Jack and Derrick.
Looking at the long-term, I'm working on my Independent Project proposal right now for next Fall, so it's good that I've already written ~2 Chapters out of 8. I know what I'm going for now and have been working on putting my objectives and inspiration on paper alongside each screenplay. This will help me write my Artist Statement at the end of the portfolio, as well as help me to define the IP to the Advising Council. I wrote a synopsis for Chapter 1 so my actors would have a better sense of the project, but it ended up helping me shape my story a little better! Will continue doing this as it seems to help me with organizing my thoughts and solidifying the structure of each piece.
