I talked to Ms. Wallner today when she sat in on our class to film. She'll be coming again on Thursday and says I can get footage from her after that. She also wants to talk to some students from our class and I'm hoping I can use that footage too!

Came to Polk to edit today. I was worried they wouldn't be open because of the long weekend but I'm gad they are. It's been a week or two since I last worked on Chapter 6. I finally found a Soundcloud download for the actual M83 track--not just a cover--so I put that in the timeline and wow, it sounds so much better than the cover. I felt like crying as I was editing so I guess that means it's working.

I decided to use color to indicate change in time, so all scenes set in the "present" with the exception of the final scene (deliberate choice) are black and white. Scenes set in the "past" or in "memory" are in color. Also, this is a dumb reason for why I did this, but setting almost everything in black and white means I won't have to color grade it hehe.

I exported a 3-minute initial cut to show my parents. If they really like it, I'll use this version in my Portfolio and make a separate 2-minute cut for colleges. I really like this version already!
