A recreation of a scene from Agnes Varda's "Beaches of Agnes" (2008). Originally, the scene is set on a sunny day in front of a blue sky and green horizon.
A recreation of a scene from Agnes Varda's "Beaches of Agnes" (2008). Originally, the scene is set on the sand of a beach and the photos are of Varda's family and youth. I chose to recreate the scene in the snow of our Great Lawn and I used photos of Varda at her potato installation in her famous potato costume.
A recreation of the complex continuous shot from 37:59-38:18 from Abbas Kiarostami's "Close-Up" (1990). Originally, the character next to the man who speaks is supposed to be his brother and the scene is set in a court room. I chose to recreate the scene with my friends in our library.
An experiment in performance art. I invited my roommate, Amy, to pick a song for me to move to as I closed my eyes throughout the entirety of my camera recording. My goal was to capture more of her reactions on camera.
