Soo Yeon Kim

Hello and Welcome!

I am a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at the University of California, Merced.

My research lies at the intersection of labor economics, innovation, and entrepreneurship. I use a rich dataset that links patent records with employment information from online professional profiles to study labor mobility, innovation spillovers, and entrepreneurial activity.

I will be entering the 2026–2027 academic job market.
