Soo-Nipi Quilters Guild

The Soo-Nipi Quilters Guild has approximately 70 members, from beginners to advanced quilters. We meet the third Thursday of each month at the South Congregational Church in Newport, New Hampshire from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Membership dues are $30.00 annually.

Activities throughout the year include a biennial quilt show at the Library Arts Center in Newport, a raffle quilt and lots of charity quilts, sewing days, and great programs! Visitors are always welcome. Come join us!

Upcoming Events:

    • August 15 - Camille Gibson trunk show; Camille is a local quilter from Washington, New Hampshire, and is a fiber arts member of the League of NH Craftsmen.
    • September 19 - Jo Diggs, Landscape Applique; Jo is a fiber artist from Portland, Maine. She does beautiful landscape appliques, as well as ‘fish’ appliques. Check out her work at jodiggs.com.
    • September 20 - Applique workshop with Jo Diggs, 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM at the South Congregational Church. The cost is $25 per person.
    • September 28 through October 23, 2019 - Biennial quilt show at the Library Arts Center in Newport, "Wonderful World of Quilts". Opening reception Friday, September 27, at the Library Arts Center.
    • October 17 - Annual meeting of the Guild; charity quilts show and tell.
    • October 24 - Day retreat at South Congregational Church, 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

Remember: In case of inclement weather, meetings shall be cancelled if the public schools in Newport are cancelled. WMUR lists all school closings. In the event of a delay of school due to inclement weather, the meeting will take place as planned.
