What is Dollar Auction?
Think, roulette + bingo. :) Each item that is up for bid is given a value of $1-$5.
The MC will announce the item that is up for bid.
If you are interested in getting that item, you toss that dollar amount ($1-$5) in the basket on your table, and raise your paddle.
Then, the MC picks a number (bingo style). If that is your number, then you have won the prize!
On to the next item, and it starts over.
(So, you can also see where there is an advantage to having an extra paddle, as that increases your chances for winning, even more.)
Where do the funds go?
After we pay our fees to the 500 Club, the remaining funds will be split between next year's classroom grants, back to school teacher appreciation meet and greet meal, and the purchase of a MUCH need mega sized shade structure on campus.
What is included in the ticket?
Entry to the event.
