SongRise: MP3 Alarm (“SongRise”, “we”, “our”, or “the app”) is a music alarm application that allows users to create alarms and wake up with selected audio files stored on their device.
This Privacy Policy explains what information the app uses, how it is used, and how third-party services may process data.
Information We Use
SongRise does not require users to create an account and does not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, passwords, contacts, or personal messages.
The app may use the following permissions and information on your device:
Audio files and music library
SongRise may request access to audio files on your device so that you can select songs for alarms. The app only uses this access to display and play audio files selected by you.
Your audio files are not uploaded to our servers.
Notifications
SongRise may request notification permission to show alarm notifications and playback controls, including a stop button.
Exact alarms
SongRise may request permission to schedule exact alarms so that alarms can start at the time selected by the user.
Foreground service
SongRise uses an Android foreground service to keep alarm audio playback stable when an alarm is running.
Advertising
SongRise may show banner advertisements using Google AdMob.
Google AdMob may collect and process certain information such as device identifiers, advertising data, approximate location, app activity, and diagnostics in order to provide, limit, measure, and improve advertisements.
Depending on your region and settings, ads may be personalized or non-personalized.
How We Use Information
SongRise uses device permissions and local information only to:
- create and manage alarms;
- play selected audio files;
- show alarm notifications and stop controls;
- restore alarms after device restart;
- display advertisements.
Data Sharing
SongRise does not sell your personal information.
The app may share limited data with third-party services only through integrated services such as Google AdMob for advertising.
Data Storage
Alarm settings are stored locally on your device.
Selected song information may be stored locally so the app can play the correct audio file when an alarm starts.
SongRise does not upload your music files to our servers.
Children’s Privacy
SongRise is not designed to collect personal information from children. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
User Choices
You can manage permissions at any time in Android settings, including:
- notification permission;
- audio/media permission;
- exact alarm permission.
You can also delete alarms inside the app.
Security
SongRise uses local device storage for alarm settings. No method of electronic storage is completely secure, but the app is designed to minimize the amount of data it uses.
