For standard music recognition, the App uses ShazamKit, a music recognition technology provided by Apple.
Audio captured for recognition may be converted into an acoustic signature used to compare the audio against a music catalog and return potential song matches.
ShazamKit is operated by Apple, and information processed through ShazamKit may also be subject to Apple's applicable privacy policies and terms.
When you use the humming or singing identification feature, audio you provide may be transmitted to a third-party music recognition service for processing.
This processing is necessary to analyze the audio and attempt to determine the song you are humming or singing.
The third-party service may process the submitted audio according to its own privacy policy, data retention practices, and terms of service.
We do not use microphone recordings for advertising purposes.
When you use the lyrics-based song identification feature, the lyrics, phrases, or other text you enter may be sent to a third-party artificial intelligence service.
The AI service processes the submitted text to determine potential matching songs and return relevant results.
The information you submit through this feature may therefore be processed by the third-party AI provider according to its own privacy policy and data processing practices.
Please avoid entering personal, confidential, or sensitive information into the lyrics search feature.

The App requests Android microphone permission only when microphone access is needed for an audio-based identification feature.
You may deny or revoke microphone permission through your device settings.
If microphone permission is disabled, audio-based identification features may not function, but other features that do not require microphone access may remain available.
Audio, acoustic signatures, text queries, or other information submitted to third-party recognition or AI services may be temporarily processed or retained by those providers according to their respective policies and technical requirements.
We do not intentionally retain raw microphone recordings on our own servers unless explicitly necessary to provide a feature described to the user.
Information may be retained for longer where required by law, necessary to protect the security of the App, or required to resolve fraud, abuse, or technical issues.
We may share information with service providers only when reasonably necessary to provide App functionality, such as performing music recognition or processing a lyrics-based search.
We do not sell your microphone recordings, lyrics queries, or other personal information to third parties.
Information may also be disclosed where required by applicable law, legal process, or a valid governmental request.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed through the App.
Where information is transmitted between the App and remote services, we use secure network communication methods where reasonably available.

You can control the information you provide to the App.

Stop an audio recognition request at any time.
Choose whether to use humming recognition.

Some third-party service providers used by the App may operate servers in countries other than the country in which you live.
As a result, information submitted through certain features may be processed in other jurisdictions, subject to the safeguards and privacy practices of the relevant service provider.
The App is not specifically designed to collect personal information from children.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable privacy laws. If we become aware that information has been collected from a child in circumstances where parental consent or another legal basis was required, we will take appropriate steps to address the situation.
