At Yokohama Port, Japan, in 2024.

Hello! Welcome to my academic homepage.  Here is a bit about myself:

My name is Somnath Maity.  At present, I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Nonequilibrium Quantum Statistical Mechanics RIKEN Hakubi Research Team, RIKEN Cluster for Pioneering Research led by Dr. Ryusuke Hamazaki at RIKEN, Wako, Japan. My area of research is theoretical condensed matter physics, specifically studying non-equilibrium dynamics of quantum many-body systems.  You can read my publications in the arXiv.

Previously, I completed my Ph.D. under the guidance of Prof. Amit Dutta from the Department of Physics at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur), India, in the year 2022. I also did my M.Sc. in Physics from IIT Kanpur in the year 2016. Before joining IIT Kanpur, I obtained my B.Sc. degree in physics from Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Centenary College, Rahara, Kolkata, in the year 2014.
