As part of the JROTC curriculum, the cadets are required to attend this formal occasion [location varies every year]and practice military etiquette in a formal environment. This is where we also announce the Military Ball King/Queen, and Sweethearts. After the formal ceremonies are over, cadets may leave or stay for a dance party.
Cadets travel to Camp Bullis Joint-Military Training Base to participate in a course challenge where cadets are given hand-on challenges that include obstacles and puzzling courses, all while keeping your teammates 'alive' and while working as a team.
In the summer, 15-30 cadets are chosen out of the Battlaion to spend a week at JCLC [location can vary every year] and participate in multiple leadership training course to develop leadership skills for next year. Rappeling, orienteering, marksmanship and drill training are all skills learned throughout this camp.
All of our teams compete in at least 1 competition in the school year, but can vary in the level of competition range:

Required by the U.S.Army Cadet Command and 5th Bridage, the Battalion forms for the final formal inspection of the year. This ceremony is welcome to parents and presents awards to cadets who have shown academic, military, and physical excellence all year long. Then after the inspection the event is moved the ZECLA Cafeteria to provide a dinner for the cadets and their families. Cadets also participate in company chants and additional awards.
The Bulldog Battalion Booster Club hosts a potluck dinner every year to introduce parents and their families to the benefits that are offered for his/her child. Students volunteer to partake in catering the food and perform drill sequences.
The cadets participate in many service learning projects as part of their JROTC curriculum. From helping at a food bank distribution to visiting children to read to them, the Battalion strives to take part in the community to help make a difference.
