Purpose: Worker mental health has emerged as one of the most significant challenges in contemporary workplaces. Knowing what intervention is effective is important to help workers adapt to mental health disorders but connecting workers to helpful resources is just as important and perhaps more of a challenge. With the multiple stakeholders involved, mental health disorders arising in the workplace pose specific challenges to help-seeking. The present study sought to explore the lived experience of workers and the personal and contextual influences on help-seeking among workers with work-related mental health disorders.

Results: Three main themes emerged including: (1) self-preservation through injury concealment and distancing themselves from workplace stressors to minimize/avoid internal and external stigma; (2) fatigue relating to complex help-seeking pathways, accumulation of stressors, eroding the worker's ability to make independent decisions regarding supports; and (3) (mis)trust contributed to resources accessed by participants.

Conclusions: Along with internalized stigma, findings point to the important role of social identity and trust and how these are influenced by relationships and organizational contexts. Findings indicate the need to educate workplace parties such as supervisors on mental health and pathways to help, simplifying pathways to service and removing barriers to help seeking including stigmatizing behaviours. Future quantitative research and intervention development directed at workplace mental health should integrate models and frameworks emphasizing relational and organizational dimensions in help-seeking.

I mention all of this because another mother is saddened and burying her child to something so senseless like bullying. All the people who should be paying attention like the teachers, schools, other kids, police, etc are all dropping the ball. My child's guidance counselor referred me to CPS because of something a child's imagination wrote. I don't really think that is the reason she referred my child or me. In this case it's personal and she used the schol system and her position to come at me and hide behind her job. If noone knows anything else about me, everybody knows how much I love helping, supporting, teaching and growing young people including my own so they'll be really hard pressed to find anyone who would tell you any differently. Now if I thought they really wanted to help me I would be all for it. But Nowadays all of these systems are seeking is to blame quickly without any research, make your numbers count and move on to the next victim because truly we are.

Hi, if anyone could help me I would be so so so so appreciative. I have been selling on ebay for a few years and have a couple of accounts. I normally just take photos of my items and then hook up my camera to my laptop with a usb cable. Then when I go to list the items I just click on the Add Photos and select my camera (Canon Powershot) from the pop-up. I then select the correct folder from all the folders that come up when I select Canon Powershot. Once I select the correct folder in my camera then I select the individual photos for that particular listing. Pretty simple.

This is where I am now having trouble. It used to be that once I went through the hassle of selecting "Canon Powershot" and then selecting "Removable Storage" and then selecting something else (I cant remember off hand) and then eventually getting to the individual photos I needed in the right folder it would be that each successive time I went to add more photos to the listing (or to other listings I was working on after that one) the computer would intuitively go straight back to the correct folder with the correct individual photos I needed.

Now all of a sudden for no reason I have to go through all those steps each and every time for each new photo I want to download for the listing. When I click "Add Photo" on the ebay listing I am creating it does not go back to the last folder I chose from (where all my photos are). While each time it only takes an extra 5 to 10 seconds per photo, I normally upload about 5 pictures per listing so it makes each time I upload pictures to a listing take an extra minute or so and its driving me crazy.

Does anyone know how you get your computer to go back to the folder you were last downloading from each new time you click on the "Add photo" button of the listing. There must be a setting or a default that was changed and its making my listing time go way up If anyone can help me I would appreciate it so much!

I empathize with your situation. The picture taking process can be frustrating and time consuming; although it doesn't have to be. If you are selling as often as you indicate, I would suggest using a smart phone for listing and picture taking. When I list on Craigslist via my Blackberry PRIV, I can have the listing completed before I sit back down or get back to whatever it was that I was previously doing.

If you don't have a smart phone, or you simply prefer listing from a computer with the aid of a conventional keyboard, may I suggest that you "drag and drop" all photos from your Canon Powershot into the picture folder that eBay has defaulted to? If your camera has a removable SD card, you could purchase a cheap SD card reader ($10-$20), if your computer doesn't already have one built in (many do). Then simply remove the card from your digital camera, insert it in the the SD reader of your computer, then transfer them to the folder that eBay keeps defaulting to.

This should save more time since you won't be limited by the transfer speeds of your USB cable which is much slower than the transfer speed of the SD Card itself. Also, this method would allow you to quickly delete unwanted/old pictures from your card, using your computer, instead of deleting them manually using the camera itself.
