A birth chart is a snapshot of the sky in the place you were born at the EXACT moment you were born. A birth chart can explain SO MUCH about you! How you rebel, your personality, your emotions, your love life, all can be predicted with astrology. I use astro.com to find mine. Click "free horoscopes" and then "Chart Drawing, Ascendant." A domicile is when a planet is in a home sign. This is a good placement because you feel at home in an area of life. Below is a list of Domicile placements.
Aries Mars
Taurus Venus
Gemini Mercury
Cancer Moon
Leo Sun
Virgo Mercury
Libra Venus
Scorpio Mars
Sagittarius Jupiter
Capricorn Saturn
Aquarius Saturn
Pisces Jupiter
Example: One with an Aries Mars feels comfortable showing their aggression and passion since Mars is domicile in Aries.
Opposite of Exaltation, a particularly bad or unlucky placement
Aries Saturn (Is unable to stop themselves or restrict themselves, wants to be blunt and free.)
Capricorn Jupiter (Not an extremely bad placement. Capricorns are usually aware and very safe. Jupiter is the planet of growth and luck. These might clash)
Cancer Mars (Cancer is a light and sensitive sign. Think Water. Mars is a fiery sign. These two clash.)
Virgo Venus (Venus is a light sign of playful romance. Virgos are very overly logical and scientific. This may restrict them in the realm of romance and relationships.)
Pisces Mercury (Mercury is a very logical sign of thinking. Pisces want to be artistic and free-spirited which restricts them in the field of communication, language, and just logical thinking in general.)
Libra Sun (The sun is a planet about itself. When in Libra, the sun can’t focus on itself and starts focusing more on other people and their perceptions of them.)
Scorpio Moon (Vulnerable to emotions)
An Exaltation is a Planet in a particularly good placement.
Libra Saturn (Feels comfortable and is able to restrict themselves.)
Cancer Jupiter (Grows from their mistakes)
Capricorn Mars (Hardworking, strong, and ambitious.)
Pisces Venus (Charming, playful, affectionate, gentle, and overall really good in romance)
Virgo Mercury (Thinks logically, scientifically, and rationally.)
Aries Sun (Tells you things straightforward, has less of a filter and feels genuine.)
Taurus Moon (Intuitive. Your emotions are grounded and you have a good sense of who you are)
This is the opposite of Domicile, when a planet feels out of place in a sign.Libra Mars (Libra wants to be soft and balanced but Mars wants to be spontaneous and aggressive.)
Scorpio Venus (struggles with romance)
Sagittarius Mercury (struggles with language and communication)
Capricorn Moon (struggles with emotion and instinct)
Aquarius Sun (struggles with their personality and themself)
Pisces Mercury (struggles with language and communication)
Aries Venus (struggles with romance)
Taurus Mars (struggles with showing aggression, passion, and courage)
Gemini Jupiter (Struggles with growth, optimism, and understanding)
Cancer Saturn (struggles with restriction and discipline)
Leo Saturn (struggles with restriction and discipline)
Virgo Jupiter (Struggles with growth, optimism, and understanding)

Splay - Most common, least clear defined. Shows someone who is very individualistic and may have trouble adapting to what other people want. Very self-sufficient.
Splash - Evenly distributed planets. People who are versatile and compatible. These people may have a lack of direction, however.
Bundle - All planets grouped in a third of the chart. People who are specialists in their chosen field but can also have obsessions that consume their whole personality. They are determined in the field in which the bundle spans over. They are usually single-minded. If your bundle is in the top area, you’re probably more concerned with public affairs. Bottom area = more private affairs.
Seesaw/Hourglass - You probably will be in a race for things to be balanced. You are always concerned, but do learn through experiences. Sometimes you think your life is confusing, while sometimes you think life is creative fuel.
Locomotive - Planets spread over ⅔ of the chart. The place in the birth chart that doesn’t have any planets is the place where one feels like they cannot handle. (Figure this out using the houses) These people are self-driving. The first planet leading the others in a clockwise fashion is the driving force of the chart.
Bucket - All planets but one are on one side of the chart. Usually fixed people. They have their focus directed at one area. To find this area, look at the lone planet. Whichever house it’s in is the place of which the focus is best directed. All energy is in that part of the bucket.
Bowl - All planets are on one half of the chart. They tend to be resourceful and self-controlled, but seem one-sided and need to “fill in” the half of the chart they don’t have. The first planet in the clockwise motion is the energies that will come in handy when trying to “fill in” the chart. If this first planet is in houses 1-3, you are more of an independent leader. In houses 4-10, this planet represents that you are more of a dependant follower.
Aries (War) - Libra (Peace)
Taurus (Light) - Scorpio (Dark)
Gemini (Tension) - Sagittarius (Release)
Cancer (Intuition) - Capricorn (Logical)
Leo (Loyalty) - Aquarius (Rebellion)
Virgo (Science) - Pisces (Art)
1,2,3 - First Quadrant
4,5,6 - Second Quadrant
7,8,9 - Third Quadrant
10,11,12 - Fourth Quadrant
Indicates the theme of your life’s direction. More prominence in a quadrant = more prominence in that life direction.
(Prominence = Lots of planets)
Less Planets = Less focus
Hemispheres tell you about your personality. And yes, they are meant to be switched around.
