Solid Rock Robotics
We are Solid Rock Robotics based in Bentonville Arkansas. We are a non-profit community based robotics team. We learn how to build and program robots, along with valuable life skills such as collaboration, teamwork, leadership, and business. The mission of the Solid Rock Robotics Team is to teach students the importance of science and technology through building a fully operating robot while honoring God in the spirit of Philippians 2:3, – “Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests but also for the interest of others.”
First Robotics Competition 5568
Grades 9 - 12th
Solid Rock started competing in the First Robotics Competition in 2015. FRC build season starts the first of January with competitions starting in March. We currently attend the Rock City Regional in Little Rock in March. We also attend the FRC State Championship in June and the Ozark Mtn Brawl in September. Starting in 2020 we hope to add additional regional events.
First Tech Challenge 14628
Grades 7 - 12th
After mentoring local First Tech Challenge teams for a few years. Solid Rock started its own FTC team in 2018. We use many of the same skills in FTC that we use on the FRC team. The FTC season is less constrained and demanding this allows us time to develop the less experienced students while putting the more experienced students into a leadership role. We currently participate in the Springdale Qualifier, Mt Home Qualifier and the Arkansas State Championship.
