Leilah is a passionate Life Coach who devotes her life to empowering women to lead and create a life that fulfills them personally and professionally. She is a mentor and a motivational speaker who speaks from her heart, sharing in-depth insights from her world of research, life experiences, and lessons. She is an author who has written 2 books; Insights into her heart based on a true story and a journal on gratitude (The magic of Gratitude ).

Leilah has experience in Banking & Microfinance and also loves doing charity work. She has an annual program that partners with donors in the provision of re-useable sanitary pads to the underprivileged girls majority of whom are in semi-urban and rural areas. The program has been running for 3 years since 2019 and over 400 girls have been beneficiaries. This initiative has a target of reaching at least 4,000 girls every year. Overcoming emotional turmoil, financial dependence & loss of dear ones

My story is one of triumph and I would like to share it with you.

For the bigger part of my life, I struggled with feeling emotionally drained and as a result, I was reluctant to trust people. I trusted only one person in my life even when I had many people around me who loved me however she kept a busy schedule and this limited the possibilities of interaction with her. The emotional void did not allow me to trust people easily and so I had to always act strong in all situations. I rarely asked for help because I was afraid of being seen as weak.

I sought solace from friends all in the name of filling up the emotional void. I sought cheap popularity because I wanted to be loved and every time someone walked out of my life, I questioned my self-worth. I suffered panic attacks for over 10 years and each time, the exhaustion pushed me to seek validation from all the available avenues. I tried to portray a different image in an effort to hide my vulnerability even when on the inside, my world was crumbling. I struggled to ask for a helping hand even when I needed it because I was afraid that this would expose my weaknesses. In 2020, I said to myself that enough was enough.

I owned up and accepted that it was time that I sought help before sinking further into depression. I embarked on a journey of self-discovery: one that I knew would not be so easy but a worthwhile one. I promised myself to overcome what I had been struggling with. I am still a work in progress but I am certainly happier and more at peace I know I am significant and worthy. I now have the courage to ask for help/support when I need it. I now know that being vulnerable is not a sign of weakness but strength.

I am here to remind women that they are more powerful than they know.
