Solarwinds Engineers Toolset Download Crack

I am trying to uninstall the engineers toolset and can't get it to remove itself. I have tried a "repair" via add/remove programs, a redownload of the toolkit and reinstall all to no avail. Screen shot of the uninstall problem is attached. Has anyone seen this or know how to clear it?

One of the best things about the Engineers toolset is the fact that it puts all the tools you need in one place, and not as a separate bunch of icons and programs on your desktop that don't talk to each other. It allows you to perform robust network diagnostics for troubleshooting and quickly resolving complex network issues with tools such as Ping Sweep, DNS Analyzer, and Trace Route.

DevSecOps is all about philosophy. It's all about the mindset, how you're thinking about-- thinking about security early on in the process. A lot of times organizations will run out and care about spending a ton of money before they think about what exactly is DevSecOps at their organization. What does it actually mean? And good security always requires context so you should be thinking about, how does this fit in my organization based off of my test, et cetera? But to me it's a philosophy. It's making decisions and educating your users and operators engineers, et cetera, to think about security earlier on in the process.

Now that's where the philosophy comes in. This is where the DevSecOps philosophy comes in because if your engineers are actually thinking about security, because you are implementing this DevSecOps mentality it's not going to be seen as a blocker, it's just a part of the gates that they're going through when they're doing things. And it's not something that's, oh, this is slowing me down. So that's where-- I think this is something that we're starting to see a shift but you still hear the argument, well, security is going to slow down the business or whatever it may be. And I just-- I think it's the opposite. If you don't consider security early on you're going to slow down later. You're going to run into issues later that are going to cause way more delays time, et cetera and a lot of money as well.

And I think something also that I believe Chris Hughes mentioned as well, what we're talking about here automation and using the tools to do that it's a concept that we talk about in the course I teach but it's like living off the land. In compliance we should try to live off the land, we should really try to use the tools that our people are using, our administrators are using and then let them administer them. That makes things a lot easier, allows them to move faster. You go to your engineers or your operators and say, hey, I got this DevSecOps thing but here's seven new tools you've got to learn. They're going to run away from you. They're not going to be interested in doing that. But you can find out, what are the tools you currently use? OK, there's this one tool that we get it incorporates with all these tools, I'll give you a script, and all you have to do is run it, and we're good to go and I'll get all my compliance reports. They're going to like that a lot more than having to install a bunch of tools. So I think that's why we see this slide is because when you do adopt it, it's about let's make your life easier but also keep the company secure which allows them to move fast. They don't even think about security anymore because we've done a lot of the work up front to protect them. So I love this slide as well there's a lot of great slides you all have that I just-- I think are great slides to help me just grow my business.

So how do we make sure that when these dips happen someone knows or it's automatically fixed or whatever it is that you want to do and your treatment plan there? But let's think about reality. This is not real but compliance is going to look like this for 12 months, which most of these assessment frameworks got. I think it's a perfect slide. I think this is the reason why most engineers, operators, folks hate compliance. Is because the auditors actually believe that the left side is true and they know what's going on is actually on the right side of the slide.

Most businesses are not in the business of security, there's very few businesses that are in the business of compliance. So if you're a compliance professional, you need to come to the developers, you need to come to the engineers, the operations folks, and speak their language. I think this is-- I mean have you ever been to a foreign country where you don't speak the language? You try to go order food, it's a challenging experience. It's a way you really learn about yourself, you're out there truly don't understand what's going on. And I think that's most compliance professionals when we talk about DevSecOps and some of this technology.

Oh, great. I have a couple of slides that I want to share with you guys now. And Medina, you help me out here because I think we have an interesting aspect of the basic, the core part of automation we believe that it is through code. And why do we believe the code is the toolset? Because it enables that continuous compliance. Because it's something that is collaborative, is an ambiguous common language, is human readable and inspect, on the right hand side, you see the sample there. Because it's code fireball it's scalable, and can be done across different environments. It can be on Prem, it can be in the Cloud it could be even in the Kubernetes [INAUDIBLE]. So it allows you to do a lot across the board. You're able to shift left through the software delivery process incorporating everybody in that process. And ultimately it provides you this continuous visibility because it is reportable, it's scalable, and it can cover your entire environment, especially. Why do you think, Chris, the code or compliances code is so important?

And if you think about the way that audits have traditionally been done, you have your PCI auditor, your HIPAA auditor, your NIST, your federal guys, your SOC 2 folks, ISO, all of these different auditors. And the people that are getting the worst part of this aren't the compliance professionals, that's their job. The internal auditors are supposed to coordinate with the auditors. They're cool with that, that's fine, that's how they make their money. But the engineers are collecting information that they don't have a Telnet server installed 30 times for 30 different auditors. And that's not what anybody wants to do, they want to be out building. And this is where it gets into that speed versus security thing, especially when we talk about compliance because there's so much wasted effort. And using unambiguous language like this using language that all of us can understand and implement it reduces that time because most of these compliance by what you're saying the same thing.

If you're going into a compliance audit and your number 1 goal is to just get a report you're wrong. Your number 1 goal should be to improve the security of your environment, and the way that you do that is through automation, through continuous compliance. And I would charge-- I don't know how many auditors are listening to this but I hope the auditors start to pay attention. But we really have to get the audit side of the house better and speaking the same language like we talked about using tools like Chef InSpec, and being able to understand what's coming out of these tools so that they can make the lives of-- their lives easier but also the lives of their engineers easier. So I think we have to focus on security, let's just focus on security. That's the message I hope that everyone heard from this talk as weren't just talking about security, we're talking about doing the right things at an earlier stage, and then you're going to get some of the compliance benefits later on.
