Red light (~620–660 nm) is a part of the spectrum that penetrates through the epidermis to the upper layers of the dermis. Its effect on the skin has been confirmed in numerous studies:

•  stimulates fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin

•  improves skin elasticity and firmness

•  reduces fine wrinkles and unevenness

•  accelerates healing and regenerative processes

During tanning, red light serves an additional function – improves microcirculation and oxygenation of the skin, which causes melanin produced under UV influence to be activated faster and distributed more evenly.
