Description

The Vanden Military Housing project is a proposed affordable housing project by CFY Development to be located on an eight acre site at 5763 Vanden Road. It is possible that the project will create 104 new residential units, 80 of which will be affordable.

The 80 affordable units will be spread across six buildings. 79 of the units will be restricted to low-income residents, while one will be a manager's unit.

24 market-rate condos will comprise the remaining residential units and will be stacked in two buildings consisting of 12 units each.

A community building will be available for residents.

The applicant and city staff had preliminary meetings about the project in 2019.

History

The City first issued a Request for Proposals (RFQ) for the property on 21 September 2018.

During their 9 April 2019 meeting, the City Council approved an Exclusive Negotiating Rights Agreement with CFY Development to allow for the development of the property.
