Olive Tree Ranch Approval Extended by Suisun City Council

During their regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, the City Council of the City of Suisun City voted unanimously to approve an extension to the Olive Tree Ranch project.

The project, which would construct 80 new single-family homes to the east of Olive Avenue and realign Railroad Avenue, was first approved in 2010, but has received numerous extensions since then. However, staff explained the various issues that the developer has had to work through and the progress that has been made thus far.

Members of the public voiced their questions about the project during the meeting. One asked if the project would include a Homeowner's Association (HOA), which staff confirmed. One person, who sent their comment via email, asked if there were any mandates that the property owner maintain their property so as to prevent fires. Planning and fire staff responded to that question.

After the public hearing and discussion with the public, the Council voted unanimously (with Councilmember Day absent) to approve the extension.
