This proposal, previously titled Green Valley II Mixed-Use, is a project proposed by the Spanos Corporation to be located at the corner of Business Center Drive and Suisun Valley Road in Cordelia in the Green Valley Corporate Park.
The project consists of 281 high-density residential apartment units on 9.94 acres. 500 parking spaces are proposed. A zoning change from Industrial Business Park to Residential - Very High would be required to permit this project, meaning that the project would go to the City Council after Planning Commission approval.
The units will be broken down into three different types:
48 studio apartments
132 one-bedroom apartments
101 two-bedroom apartments
The project will build three four-story apartment buildings and one two-story clubhouse for residents. The buildings will be 47 feet and 10 inches tall, requiring a Conditional Use Permit to exceed the permitted 45 feet height limit. Amenities will include a fitness and yoga center, a game room, a pool, a children's play area, sports courts, and lounges.
The project will also create space for a new fire station to serve the Green Valley area on a 1.5 acre site, consistent with the City of Fairfield's General Plan.
This project is currently under construction.
The Planning Commission approved this project during their December 11 2019 meeting. The project was then approved by the City Council during their February 4 2020 meeting.
