Gold Hill Village III is an approved residential subdivision located at the corner of Gold Hill Road and Lopes Road. To be developed by Discovery Homes, the site is currently zoned as Mixed Use, but would need to be changed to Low-Medium Residential. There would be 17 detached housing units and 62 attached units on 11.44 acres.
An appeal was approved by the City Council at their 21 January 2020 meeting.
Public meetings about the project were conducted on 4 November 2018 and 28 February 2019.
During their 28 August 2019 meeting, the Planning Commission denied the project. However, the applicant filed an appeal.
On 15 October 2019, the City Council decided that the City should look to impose further conditions to provide a safe crossing from the project site across Lopes Road..
