Description: Zahia, 17, dreams to be an orchestra conductor. Her twin sister, Fettouma, dreams to be a profesional cellist. Classical symphonic music is everything for them, and they wish for everyone to have access to its beauty. But how to reach this ambitious dream when you are a woman, of Algerian descent, coming from the underprivilege suburbs of Paris? With determination, passion, and bravery... and by creating their own orchestra: Divertimento.
This movie is a free adaptation of the life of Zahia Ziouani, one of the few women orchestra conductors in the world. She recently conducted the orchestra at the 2024 Olympic closing ceremony.
