Welcome to the
Soft Matter & Biophysics Group of
Prof. Jaydeb Chakrabarti
(Senior Professor, Dept. of Physics of Complex System, SNBNCBS)
Broad area of Research:
We are an interdisciplinary group working on theoretical aspects of physics of soft matter and bio macro molecular systems
The primary methods are:
(1) Computer simulations based on Molecular Dynamics, Monte Carlo and Brownian Dynamics; (2) All atom force field simulation; (3) Mean field calculations based on classical density functional theories; (4) Quantum chemical calculation.
Computational Resources:
Clusters for parallel execution: High Performance Computing (HPC) ; Unit on Nanoscience and Technology (UNANST) , AMRU
Clusters for serial execution : Photon, Phonon, Unit on Nanoscience and Technology (UNANST), AMRU2.
