born to russell van pelt, arabella never really knew her mother, a member of the tribe located in the jungles of jumanji, because, soon after she was born, king adam and queen belle created the isle of the lost, a place of punishment where they put any and all deemed evil, those from realms near and far, including jumanji. she grew up there, with an affinity for bugs and her one friend, dolores, otherwise keeping to herself. only after the barrier went down did they learn that they had inherited part of the power of the jaguar's eye from their father, giving her a limited bond and ability to communicate with the creatures of the world around her, although she tends to keep to insects, as they're her favorite.
