Astro Star - AI Astrology App
Developed by SoftCoderX
Effective date: September 29, 2026
SoftCoderX (“we,” “us”) provides Astro Star - AI Astrology App (“Astro Star”). This policy explains how information is processed when you use the app and its supporting service. Contact us at support@softcoderx.com with privacy questions.
Birth profiles, such as a display name, optional pronouns, birth date and time, birthplace, coordinates and time zone, to calculate charts and readings.
Questions and chat messages, saved insights, preferences and optional AI connection settings. Messages may contain personal information you choose to enter.
If you create an optional cloud account, a username and password. Passwords are stored as salted hashes, not plaintext. Guest use does not require an account.
If you connect your own AI provider, its API key and connection settings. A key can be held for the current session or, if you choose, retained encrypted until you disconnect or your account expires.
Birthplace search sends your search text to our service, which may use a configured geocoding provider to find matching places. If you tap “Detect location,” the app requests foreground approximate or precise location permission. Your device coordinates are sent to our service for reverse place lookup so the form can fill the place, coordinates and time zone. This is optional: you can deny permission and enter a place manually. A detected current location is not necessarily your birthplace; please review it before saving. Astro Star does not request background location.
We use your information to provide accounts, birth profiles, charts, AI conversations, saved content, exports, reminders, service security and abuse prevention. When you send a message to an AI provider, the service sends your message and the necessary conversation context to the provider you selected, as disclosed in the app before first use. For personalized requests it may also send calculated chart factors. The chart-context builder does not include your display name, pronouns, precise birth date, birthplace, coordinates or time zone, but chart factors and anything you type may still be personal data. Provider processing is governed by that provider’s own privacy terms. Changing providers begins a new conversation. We do not sell your personal information or include advertising, message-analytics or crash-reporting SDKs in the app.
The app stores profiles, chats, drafts and session tokens encrypted on your device using Android Keystore-backed encryption. Preferences are stored on device, and Android app backup is disabled. Our service stores the data needed to sync accounts and provide features; personal document payloads and retained API keys are encrypted on the server. This is not end-to-end encryption. The service may process IP addresses and limited security or quota information to prevent abuse. Network requests require an internet connection. User-initiated JSON or PDF exports are transferred to the destination or app you select and are then subject to that destination’s practices.
Guest access and associated service data expire after 30 days without valid renewal. Optional cloud accounts expire after 180 days of inactivity; device sign-in tokens last up to 30 days and may be renewed. Session-only provider keys expire after one hour; optionally retained keys remain until disconnect or account expiry. Daily salted IP abuse counters expire after 31 days. You can delete individual conversations or profiles, export your data, or request deletion of all your account data in the app. Deleting a profile also removes its linked conversations. A full deletion request removes your live service account and associated profiles, chats, chart and reading caches, saved insights, credentials and related records, then clears the app’s local data after the service confirms deletion. If you cannot use the app, email support@softcoderx.com for assistance. Data already exported to destinations you control must be deleted there separately. Backup retention, where backups are used, depends on the production host; contact us for the current backup deletion schedule.
We use access controls and encryption measures designed to protect data in storage and transit. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Avoid including sensitive information in chats unless needed. Keep your account password and any provider API key private. The app currently does not offer email-based password recovery.
Astro Star is not intended for children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate. Some AI connection options require adult eligibility.
You can use guest access instead of creating an account, choose whether to grant location and notification permissions, enter birthplace details manually, select an AI connection, and export or delete data through the app. You can also contact us to request access, correction or deletion, or to ask about rights available under applicable privacy law. Device permissions can be changed in Android Settings.
We may update this policy as features or service providers change. We will update the effective date on this page when we publish changes. Please review it periodically.
