Softbond IT built the Expense Tracker app as an Ad-Supported app. This SERVICE is provided by Softbond IT at no cost and is intended for use as is.
This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.
If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
Information Collection and Use
1. Local Data Storage (Financial Data) :
Your financial privacy is our priority. All personal financial data you enter into the Expense Tracker app—including incomes, expenses, categories, notes, recurring bills, and savings goals—is stored locally on your device using an internal database (SQLite/Room).
We do not transmit, store, or process your financial records on our personal servers.
Because this data is stored locally, uninstalling the app or clearing the app's data will permanently delete your financial records unless you utilize the app's local Backup & Restore feature.
2. Third-Party Service Providers:
To facilitate our Service, provide the Service on our behalf, perform Service-related tasks, or assist us in analysing how our Service is used, we employ third-party companies. These third parties have access to specific device identifiers and usage data to perform the tasks assigned to them on our behalf. However, they are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose.

3. Advertising and Device IDs:
Our app uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. To provide personalized advertising, the app requires the Android Advertising ID (AD_ID permission).
User Consent (EEA, UK, and applicable US States):
We use the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK to gather explicit user consent before displaying personalized ads. You can manage, change, or revoke your privacy options at any time by navigating to Menu > General Settings > Manage Privacy Options within the app.
If you opt out of personalized ads, you will still see advertisements, but they may be less relevant to your interests.
4. Log Data and Analytics:
We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in a case of an error in the app, we collect data and information (through Firebase Crashlytics) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics. We use this data strictly to find and fix bugs and improve the app's stability.
Data Security
We value your trust in providing us your information. All financial data is kept securely within the app's sandboxed environment on your device. While we use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
