Welcome to my Webpage!
I am an Assistant Professor of Teaching in the Department of Economics at the University of California, Irvine and a Faculty Associate at ITS-Irvine. As an applied micro-economist, my research sits at the nexus of urban and transportation economics. I specialize in the economics of parking and land-use policy, using both theoretical modeling and state-of-the-art computable general equilibrium modeling, econometrics, and GIS tools to conduct rigorous assessments of major public policy issues.
My work focuses on the impact of parking and land use policies on urban form, urban structure, commute mode choices, real estate values and market prices. Beyond academic research, I have consulted for international, public, and private organizations on urban development, housing affordability, and land-use policies, translating complex theoretical models into actionable policy insights.
As a dedicated educator, I teach undergraduate and master's level courses in economics and econometrics. I am also deeply committed to educational equity through the UC LIFTED program, where I teach economics to incarcerated students. My mentorship spans the full academic spectrum, from guiding undergraduate honors theses to supervising PhD dissertations and research projects.
