About Me:
Привет! I am Lady Sof'ia Dolgorukaia (Софья Долгорукая) of Ponte Alto, also known as Holly the Hard Worker or Holly the Helper. I hope to chronicle my experiences in Archery, Service, and A&S in the Society of Creative Anachronisms.
Pronouncing my SCA name
Fun Facts
My name was officially approved in June of 2021
I chose Sof'ia because one of my favorite historical figures is Regent Tsarevna Sophia Alekseyevna (1657 to 1704), she was the sister of Peter the Great.
I chose the spelling of Sof'ia because the transliteration I wanted wasn't available so I decided to go with the most obnoxious but historically accurate transliteration.
Dolgorukaia comes from the Russian words for Long (Dolgo) and Arm (Ruka). Thought it was appropriate as an archer.

Things I love:
Russian history
I adore Romanov history but it's sadly post period for the SCA
Russian fairytales
I love the illustrations of Russian fairytales that you see on Russian lacquer boxes
My favorite Russian Fairytales are Vasilisa the Beautiful, Vasilisa the Priest's Daughter, and Ivan Tsarevich and the Grey Wolf
My favorite retelling is Katherine Arden's Winternight Trilogy
Kazan', Tatarstan, Russia
Archery- I use a kipchak recurve bow
Preference for scrolls
One of my biggest pet peeves is seeing Cyrillic script improperly used in English words for style. If you are making a scroll for me, please only use Cyrillic for Russian.
