Hair and Make Up
Hair
All dreamers should arrive for both the dress rehearsal and recital in full costume with hair and makeup done.
ALL DREAMERS should wear their hair half up in a braided back/high bun with the lower half down. This should be very neat and tidy. Bangs up or down is your preference. Curled or straight is your preference. We prefer each dreamer's hair to be braided with top buns shown below, if possible. If your dreamer's hair does not allow for this style, please find a cute way to pull the hair back. We just want to see their beautiful faces. If your dreamer has an accessory/bow for costume, your teacher will inform you of its placement during costume hand outs.
Make-Up
All dreamers should arrive for both the rehearsal and the recital in full costume with hair and makeup done.
We would like all dreamers to wear some makeup. This avoids appearing washed out onstage. Black mascara and a brown/mauve-ish shade of eye shadow should be worn on the eyes. Cheeks should be a mauve pink with a mauve pink lip. Please no fuchsia or very bright red lipstick. Older dreamers’ makeup should be applied heavier for stage. Remember, the lights are very bright and without makeup, faces become washed out from afar. For toddlers, we understand if makeup is not acceptable, and we respect that if this is your personal preference, we just want to see their beautiful faces!
