Graduation

We are excited to commence the South County Class of 2021 at Jiffy Lube Live event center. Graduation will be Thursday, June 10, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., rain or shine.

Preparing for Graduation


Participation in the commencement exercises is a privilege and as such comes with certain expectations. Among these expectations are:

  • Seniors must have met all academic requirements for graduation

  • Seniors must have settled all accounts with the Finance Office. This includes all school fees, fines, senior dues, and obligations

  • Seniors must attend graduation rehearsals on Friday June 4 and Monday June 7 at SCHS

Tickets


Students/Families will receive 7 tickets per graduate. Tickets will be general admission and may include lawn seating at Jiffy Lube Live. All guests must have a ticket to enter Jiffy Lube Live. On-site security will not permit guests without tickets to enter the venue. Tickets will be distributed to graduates at the rehearsal on Monday, June 7 at the conclusion of rehearsal.


Friends and family who are not able to attend will still be able to watch the ceremony, as we will be live streaming this year! The live streaming will be available through this link.

Arriving at Jiffy Lube Live


Graduates must be at the Jiffy Lube Live staging area at 12:30 p.m. Graduates should provide their own transportation, but families may also drop off students. at the designated drop off area. Graduates who drive themselves will park in LOT B. Reference the map below for graduate parking and drop-off locations. Graduates who cannot provide their own transportation should contact their counselor as soon as possible.

Students will not be able to carry personal items into the venue other than their car keys. All other items, including cell phones and purses must be left in vehicles, with friends or family, or at home.

Guest Information and Parking

Guests will be directed to a parking space in either Lot A or Lot C upon entering the venue. Please make sure you arrive early enough to park and make the walk to the arena. Gates will open 60 minutes before the ceremony (1:00 pm). Once you have parked, proceed to the main gate and have your tickets ready. Masks will be required to be worn at all times. Please bring a water bottle if necessary, there will be no concession sales on-site.


We ask all those attending the ceremony to familiarize themselves with the requirements and best practices below. While you may be familiar with the venue, our policies have changed to better fit the Fourth Amended Executive Order 72. Please refer any questions you may have to your school’s graduation coordinator (jvgero@fcps.edu).


• Masks are recommended for all guests who are not vaccinated or are immune compromised.

• Weapons are not allowed at Live Nation Entertainment Venues. This includes all off-duty Law Enforcement Officers.

• All persons entering the building are subject to search using walkthrough magnetometers, handheld magnetometers, and/or physical pat down search.

• All bags will be searched prior to entry. Bags larger than 12” x 6” x 12” will not be permitted. All bags larger than 4.5” x 6.5” must be clear. Camera bags will not be permitted.

• Food and Drink other than water will not be permitted or available during the event.

• Use of laser pointers, air horns, or other noise making devices is not permitted.

• No signage/posters of any kind will be allowed into the venue.

• Guests, Graduates, and Faculty will need to leave the premises promptly upon the completion of the ceremony.
