Self-Organizing Conference on Machine Learning

The Self-Organizing Conference on Machine learning will be held on Thursday, November 30 and Friday, December 1 in Google's Sunnyvale office.

SOCML is an "unconference" focused on advancing the field of machine learning through collaboration between participants from diverse backgrounds. It’s decentralized by design, with participants driving agenda and conversation.

SOCML aims to:

- Encourage discussion of the latest in machine learning. Participants catch up with colleagues about what they are doing right now. Anyone can bring any poster; there’s no latency introduced by a review process.

- Foster interaction and camaraderie. At SOCML, attendees including newcomers and experienced pioneers can meet and share their experiences with others.

- Promote diversity and inclusion. SOCML supports diversity of perspectives and offers travel grants for underrepresented groups.
