1. Overview Social Batcher ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension designed to help users schedule and publish content to social media platforms (Bluesky, Substack, and Mastodon). This Privacy Policy describes how we handle your data.
2. Data Collection and Storage We prioritize your privacy. We do not store your data on our servers.
Credentials: Your App Passwords (Bluesky), Access Tokens (Mastodon), and authentication cookies (Substack) are stored locally on your device using chrome.storage.local. They are never transmitted to the developer or any third-party analytics server.
Content: The text and images you draft are stored locally in your browser until they are published.
3. Third-Party Services The Extension communicates directly with the following third-party APIs to fulfill your requests:
Bluesky (bsky.social): To authenticate and publish posts.
Substack (substack.com): To publish notes to your feed.
Mastodon Instances: To publish statuses to the specific instance URL you provide.
The Extension only sends data to these services when you explicitly click "Post" or "Schedule."
4. Data Usage The Extension uses your data solely for the purpose of:
Authenticating with the social platforms you select.
Publishing the content you have written.
5. Analytics and Tracking We do not use Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or any other tracking software. We do not collect usage data, IP addresses, or browsing history.
6. User Rights Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control. You can permanently delete all stored data by:
Uninstalling the extension.
Clearing your browser's "Extension Data."
