Senior capstone research project on the impact of social psychology on Black and Indigenous people in the 21st Century.
The purpose of this senior capstone research paper was to examine the history behind the practice of social psychology and determine the positive and negative impacts that it leaves on black and indigenous people of color in American society during the twenty-first century. Using historical experiements involving BIPOC, I created the argument that while social psychology has roots intertwined with systemic racism and the institutional exploitation of Black and Indigenous cultures, it is still an important branch of study within the field of psychology and that more research must be done to understand human behavior on a social context.
