Who are we?

We are a group of freshman boys and girls concerned about mental illness in teens and we are working together on this service project.

We are all from Ridgewood, NJ, and we go to five different high schools.

What is our mission?

We are working to raise awareness about the rising rates of teen suicide. We know that heavy social media use is a contributor to mental illness in teens. By linking the two, we hope to show our support for our peers suffering with depression and anxiety. By giving up social media for a week, we hope to prove that we can control some of the things that are adding stress to or lives. Of course, we would also like to raise money for SPTS, which is an organization whose mission is "to reduce the number of youth suicides and attempted suicides by encouraging public awareness through the development and promotion of educational training programs."

Where will proceeds go?

We are donating all of the money we make to the SPTS, or the Society for the Prevention of Teen Suicide.
