Sober Tracker ("the app", "we", "us") is built privacy first. This policy explains what the app does and does not collect, and your choices. By using Sober Tracker you agree to this policy.
SUMMARY
Sober Tracker has no accounts and no login. Your recovery data, including your sober dates, streak, mood journal, notes, goals, and lapse or relapse logs, is stored only on your device. We do not run servers that receive your personal recovery data, and we cannot see it.
1. DATA STORED ON YOUR DEVICE
Everything you enter in the app is saved locally on your device, including your quit date, streak, calendar entries, mood and journal entries, reasons, goals, savings figures, achievements, reminders, and app settings. This data never leaves your device unless you choose to export or share it. If you delete the app, this data is removed with it.
2. DATA YOU CHOOSE TO EXPORT OR SHARE
The app lets you export or back up your data and share it yourself, for example to a file, another app, or your own storage. When you do this, the data goes only where you send it. We do not receive a copy. You can delete your data inside the app at any time.
3. PURCHASES AND SUBSCRIPTIONS
If you buy a subscription or the lifetime option, the purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or store your payment card or billing details. To manage entitlements and restore purchases, the app uses RevenueCat, a subscription infrastructure provider. RevenueCat processes purchase events and a randomly generated app user identifier, along with limited device and country information needed to validate and restore purchases. 4. NOTIFICATIONS
If you enable reminders, notifications are scheduled and shown locally on your device. No notification content is sent to us or any third party.
5. APP STORE REVIEW PROMPT
The app may ask you to rate it using Apple's standard in app review. This is handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive your review or whether you left one.
6. WHAT WE DO NOT DO
We do not require an account. We do not use advertising. We do not use third party analytics or tracking SDKs. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data. We do not build a profile of you.
7. CHILDREN
Sober Tracker is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. SECURITY
Because your data stays on your device, its security is tied to your device's own protections, such as your passcode and device encryption. We recommend keeping your device secured and your operating system up to date.
9. YOUR RIGHTS
Because we do not hold your personal data on our servers, you remain in full control of it on your device at all times. You can view, edit, export, or permanently delete all of it from within the app. If you have questions about your rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, contact us using the details below.
10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, a notice in the app or on the App Store listing.
