If you want extended battery life, versatile FM radio integration, and a secure fit for long game days, choose SOAR NFL; if you need superior Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity, modern low-latency performance, and a sleek Scandinavian design with AI app support, choose Defunc True LITE II.
• SOAR NFL: The undisputed champion of endurance with a massive 32-hour total battery life and built-in FM radio versatility, though it relies on the older Bluetooth 5.0 standard.
• Defunc True LITE II: Offers cutting-edge Bluetooth 6.0 technology, ENC call clarity, and IPX4 waterproofing in a lightweight package, but sacrifices some playtime with a 20-hour total limit.
• Best for: SOAR NFL is ideal for the die-hard sports fan who needs to listen all day without recharging, while Defunc True LITE II fits the tech-savvy user prioritizing audio quality and seamless modern connectivity.
The SOAR NFL Wireless Sport Earbuds are engineered specifically for the dedicated fan who treats listening as an activity that can last from pre-game warmups through the final whistle. The standout feature here is the sheer longevity of the power source. With a total of 32 hours of battery life, these earbuds are designed to outlast even the most marathon gaming sessions or travel days. If you find yourself constantly hunting for a charging outlet during a long weekend trip or a multi-day tournament, this capacity eliminates that anxiety entirely. The inclusion of a charging case ensures you have portable power wherever you go, whether you are at the stadium, on the field, or just relaxing at home.
Beyond the battery, the versatility of the audio options sets this product apart for specific use cases. Unlike many competitors that rely solely on Bluetooth streaming, the SOAR NFL includes the ability to listen to live game commentary via FM radio. This is a critical feature for anyone who wants to catch real-time updates without relying on a data connection or a phone signal. Additionally, the option to connect via USB or AUX provides a fallback for older devices or specific setups where wireless interference might be a concern. This level of flexibility makes it a robust tool for fans who refuse to be cut off from the action.
The physical design focuses on comfort and security for active wearers. Equipped with silicone in-ear gels and rounded tips, the earbuds aim to provide a stable fit that stays in place during movement. The construction uses plastic and PCBA materials, resulting in a durable build suitable for the rigors of daily sports use. However, users should note that the noise control is listed as "None," meaning these do not offer active cancellation. They rely on the physical seal of the ear gel to block ambient sound passively. This is a trade-off for the open-listening capability required for safety and awareness in certain environments.

This product is best suited for the person who values reliability over the latest tech specs. If your primary goal is to ensure you never miss a beat of the game due to a dead battery, or if you frequently rely on FM radio broadcasts to stay informed, the SOAR NFL is a logical choice. Conversely, if you require the absolute lowest latency for competitive gaming or the highest fidelity for studio-quality music production, the reliance on Bluetooth 5.0 and the lack of active noise cancellation might feel like a limitation compared to newer standards.
The Defunc True LITE II represents a shift toward modern, minimalist engineering inspired by Scandinavian design principles. These earbuds are built for listeners who prioritize a clean aesthetic and a comfortable, semi-in-ear ergonomic fit that feels natural for all-day wear. The design philosophy centers on making great sound effortless and accessible, stripping away unnecessary complexity to focus on what matters: balanced stereo sound, clear vocals, and rich bass. With a 13mm dynamic driver, the audio output is tuned to deliver a premium everyday experience that works equally well for podcasts, movies, and music.
Where the Defunc truly shines is in its connectivity and smart features. By utilizing Bluetooth 6.0 technology, it offers a significant upgrade over previous generations, promising quicker connections and more stable transmission within a 10-meter range. This is particularly beneficial for anyone using their device in crowded areas where signal interference is common. The inclusion of ENC (Environmental Noise Cancellation) for calls ensures that your voice comes through clearly even in noisy environments, a feature often missing in budget-friendly sport earbuds. Furthermore, the low-latency performance makes these a strong contender for those who need their audio synced perfectly with video content or gaming action.
Durability and lifestyle integration are also key selling points. The IPX4 water resistance rating means these earbuds can handle sweat and light rain, making them a practical choice for workouts or running in unpredictable weather. The semi-in-ear design avoids deep insertion, which many users find more comfortable for extended periods compared to fully in-ear models. The addition of AI app support allows for a smarter listening experience, letting users customize their audio profile to match their preferences or environment. The carrying case is compact, measuring just 5 centimeters in length, ensuring it slips easily into a pocket or small bag.
However, there are trade-offs to consider. The total battery life is capped at 20 hours, which is substantial but notably less than the 32 hours offered by the SOAR NFL. If you are planning a multi-day trip without access to power, you may need to recharge the Defunc more frequently. Additionally, while the touch controls are convenient, they require a different interaction style than the remote controller found on the SOAR. This product is ideal for the user who wants a blend of style, modern connectivity, and reliable performance for commuting, work, or casual sports, but who doesn't need the extreme battery endurance of a dedicated stadium companion.
• Best for battery life → SOAR NFL: With 32 hours of total playtime, it beats the Defunc's 20 hours significantly, making it perfect for long trips or all-day events.
• Best for connectivity speed → Defunc True LITE II: Bluetooth 6.0 provides a faster, more stable connection than the SOAR's Bluetooth 5.0, reducing lag and dropouts.
• Best for call clarity → Defunc True LITE II: The built-in ENC technology actively reduces background noise during calls, whereas the SOAR lacks specific call-noise cancellation features.
• Best for radio integration → SOAR NFL: Only the SOAR offers direct FM radio tuning, allowing you to listen to local broadcasts without a smartphone.
• Best for sweat resistance → Defunc True LITE II: The IPX4 rating explicitly confirms water resistance for active use, while the SOAR sheet does not list a specific waterproof rating.
• Best for modern app features → Defunc True LITE II: Support for AI apps and customizable settings via a companion application offers a level of personalization the SOAR does not mention.
• Best for passive comfort → SOAR NFL: The silicone in-ear gels provide a secure, traditional seal, which some prefer for stability during intense movement.
• Best for portability → Defunc True LITE II: Weighing only 50g for the earbuds and a tiny case, it is slightly lighter and more compact than the SOAR's 3.36 ounces.
For me, the choice between these two comes down to how I prioritize my listening experience during basketball. If I am looking for the best head phones for basketball where staying connected to live game commentary via FM radio is essential, the SOAR NFL is the rugged workhorse I would pick. However, for general athletic use where call quality, modern connectivity, and sweat resistance are paramount, I would buy the Defunc True LITE II. Its Bluetooth 6.0 chip and ENC technology ensure I stay connected to my phone and hear my surroundings safely, while the IPX4 rating gives me confidence during intense workouts. Ultimately, if I needed the sweat resistant headset for basketball that also doubles as a high-tech communication tool, the Defunc wins for its balance of modern features and comfort. But for the purest, longest-lasting listening session possible, the SOAR remains unmatched.
Both are designed for active use, but the Defunc True LITE II has an explicit IPX4 water resistance rating for sweat protection, while the SOAR NFL focuses on a secure fit with silicone gels and longer battery life for stadium events.
The Defunc True LITE II features Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) specifically designed to isolate your voice during calls, offering clearer audio than the SOAR NFL, which does not list advanced call-noise features.
The SOAR NFL offers a significantly longer total battery life of 32 hours compared to the Defunc True LITE II's 20 hours, making the SOAR better for extended usage without recharging.
Yes, the SOAR NFL includes functionality to listen to live game commentary via FM radio, a unique feature not available on the Defunc True LITE II, which relies strictly on digital streaming and app connectivity.
