If you want rugged, team-licensed in ear earbuds for toddlers that stay secure during active play with a battery life that lasts through long car rides, choose SOAR NFL True; if you need a sleek, premium sound profile with active noise cancellation and a unique open-fit design for an older child or adult seeking high-fidelity audio, choose Samsung Galaxy Buds Live. This decision comes down to one critical factor: the intended user's age and activity level. While both products claim wireless freedom, their physical designs and feature sets point to entirely different use cases. One is built like a toy that happens to be high-tech, designed to survive drops and fits small ears, while the other is a sophisticated piece of consumer electronics meant for immersive listening. Before you click any buttons or check prices, let's break down exactly why these two options serve such different masters.
• SOAR NFL True: The standout strength is its official NFL licensing and durable, lightweight plastic build designed for sports fans, offering over 10 hours of continuous playback on a single charge. Its biggest trade-off is the lack of advanced noise cancellation and a standard wired charging port that feels dated compared to modern standards. This pick is strictly for families looking for bluetooth headphones for toddlers or young kids who love specific teams.
• Samsung Galaxy Buds Live: The primary advantage is its dynamic driver technology paired with active noise cancellation, delivering a refined audio experience with a distinctive bean-shaped fit that avoids deep canal insertion. Its significant limitation is the shorter 5-hour battery life and the fact that it is sold as a renewed product, which may not appeal to parents needing brand-new gear for a child. This choice fits older children, teens, or adults who prioritize sound quality and comfort over rugged durability.
The SOAR NFL True Wireless Earbuds V.2 are clearly engineered with a specific demographic in mind: the enthusiastic young fan. When you look at the specifications, the "Officially Licensed NFL" tag isn't just marketing fluff; it signals that the entire product line is themed around team colors, specifically highlighting the San Francisco 49ers Scarlet Red case. This visual identity is crucial for engaging children who are already passionate about their favorite teams. The design focuses on simplicity and safety. The earpiece shape is rounded, and the enclosure material is plastic, which suggests a product that can withstand the inevitable drops, throws, and tumbles associated with toddlerhood. Unlike delicate electronics, this unit is built to be portable and lightweight, with the carrying case weighing just 1.92 ounces. That lightness matters immensely when trying to keep a pair of headphones on a wiggling child without them feeling weighed down or uncomfortable.

For parents searching for in ear earbuds for toddlers, the control mechanism here is a major selling point. The device utilizes touch controls directly on the earbud, allowing users to answer calls, end calls, play, and pause music without needing to fumble with a phone or a bulky remote. This tactile feedback is essential for young users who might struggle with complex menus or voice commands. The inclusion of a built-in microphone ensures that hands-free calling works, which is vital for parents managing busy schedules while keeping kids entertained. Furthermore, the Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity provides a reliable connection up to 9.14 meters, ensuring that the audio doesn't cut out when a child wanders a few feet away from the parent holding the tablet or phone.
However, this product has clear boundaries. This implies that fitment is a manual process requiring careful adjustment of the included tips. There is no mention of water resistance ratings or advanced sealing against sweat, meaning these should be treated with care during intense physical activity. The battery life is a massive plus, offering an average life of 10 hours, which is nearly double what many competitors offer. This means you can load them up before a long road trip or a day at the park, and they will last the entire duration without needing a recharge. The charging case itself takes three hours to fully charge via Micro USB, which is a slower, more traditional method compared to the wireless charging pads found on premium devices. Ultimately, the SOAR NFL True is for the family that wants a fun, thematic, and long-lasting accessory that prioritizes endurance and team spirit over audiophile-grade perfection.
The Samsung Galaxy Buds Live represents a different philosophy entirely, focusing on acoustic engineering and ergonomic innovation rather than cartoonish themes or extreme durability. The most striking feature in the data is the "Active Noise Cancellation," a capability completely absent from the SOAR model. This technology actively monitors external sounds and generates opposing frequencies to cancel them out, creating a quiet bubble for the listener. For an older child or teenager who needs to focus on homework, study, or simply enjoy music without the chaos of a noisy household, this feature is transformative. The audio driver type is listed as a Dynamic Driver, paired with an impedance of 32 ohms, which typically translates to a richer, more detailed soundstage compared to the hybrid drivers found in budget-friendly options. The frequency range spans from 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz, covering the full spectrum of human hearing, ensuring that bass is punchy and highs are crisp.
The design of the Galaxy Buds Live is equally distinct. Instead of the traditional round bud shape, these feature a unique bean-like silhouette that rests in the outer ear rather than plugging deep into the canal. This open-fit design is often preferred by users who find standard in-ear buds painful after extended wear or those who need to remain aware of their surroundings while listening. The enclosure material is plastic, similar to the SOAR buds, but the finish and build quality imply a more premium, sleek aesthetic. The item weight is 1.44 ounces, making the entire package extremely light and unobtrusive. However, there is a catch regarding the condition of the product. This shorter warranty period and the pre-owned nature of the item make it a riskier purchase for a child who might lose or damage the device frequently.
Battery life is another area where the Samsung falls short for certain use cases. With an average life of just 5 hours, these buds will need recharging halfway through a long school day or a cross-country flight. While the charging case likely extends total usage time, the single-bud lifespan is half that of the SOAR option. Additionally, the absence of a headphone jack and the reliance on Bluetooth 5.0 with a 10-meter range suggests a modern, streamlined ecosystem that requires a compatible smartphone or tablet to function optimally. The remote control method allows for media management, but the lack of explicit mention of robust physical buttons might make navigation slightly less intuitive for younger users compared to the direct touch controls on the SOAR. This product is ideal for the discerning listener who values silence, clarity, and style, and who can handle the responsibility of caring for a more delicate, premium device.
• Best for Battery Life → SOAR NFL True (10 hours per charge vs. 5 hours). If your toddler needs entertainment for a full day of travel or play without constant recharging, the SOAR wins easily.
• Best for Sound Isolation → Samsung Galaxy Buds Live (Active Noise Cancellation). If the goal is to block out distractions for a focused environment, the Samsung offers a technological edge that the SOAR lacks.
• Best for Durability and Theme → SOAR NFL True (Officially licensed, rounded plastic design). The team branding and rugged feel make it perfect for young fans who treat gear like toys.
• Best for Comfort and Fit → Samsung Galaxy Buds Live (Open-fit bean shape). The unique design prevents deep ear insertion, reducing fatigue for long listening sessions.
• Best Warranty Coverage → SOAR NFL True (1 Year Limited). For a child's first pair of expensive electronics, a longer warranty provides better peace of mind for parents.
• Best Value for Long Play → SOAR NFL True. The extended battery life means fewer interruptions and less time spent tethered to a charger.
• Best for Audio Fidelity → Samsung Galaxy Buds Live (Dynamic Driver + ANC). The combination of hardware and software creates a superior listening experience for music lovers.
• Best for Toddler Safety → SOAR NFL True. The simple touch controls and durable construction are better suited for small hands and rough handling.
After weighing the specifications and real-world applications, I would buy the SOAR NFL True if I were shopping for a child. The 10-hour battery life alone makes it the practical choice for daily use, eliminating the anxiety of dead batteries in the middle of the day. The officially licensed NFL branding adds a layer of excitement that keeps a child engaged, and the simple touch controls are intuitive enough for a young user. While the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live boasts impressive features like active noise cancellation and a dynamic driver, those benefits are tailored for an audience that values sonic purity and quiet over rugged utility. For a kid, especially a toddler, the durability and endurance of the SOAR NFL True make it the clear winner. It is the best with mic clip on earbuds for toddlers because it balances fun, function, and longevity in a way that premium audio gear simply cannot.
Both products are rated for adult age ranges in their descriptions, but the SOAR NFL True's durable plastic build and simple controls make it physically safer for handling by a child, whereas the Samsung's renewed status and delicate fit require more maturity.
The SOAR NFL True provides 10 hours of battery life, which is double the 5 hours offered by the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live, making it far superior for long outings.
Yes, the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live feature Active Noise Cancellation, a feature that is completely absent from the SOAR NFL True earbuds.
