If you want best foldable headphones for gym sessions where battery longevity and team spirit matter more than silence, choose SOAR NBA; if you need best hifi stereo bone conduction headphones for gym performance with active noise cancellation and sweat resistance, choose LEVO Hybrid ANC Earbuds.
I have spent time dissecting the specs of these two distinct audio solutions because they solve completely different problems. One is a classic over-ear design built for style and endurance, while the other is a precision in-ear tool designed for immersion and isolation. The choice isn't about which brand is "better" in a vacuum; it is entirely about whether your primary environment is a loud, chaotic gym floor or a space where you need to block out the world to focus on your workout rhythm. I am not going to waffle here. If you prioritize a secure fit that stays put during high-intensity movements and demands deep bass, the LEVO Hybrid ANC Earbuds are the clear path. However, if you value the ability to fold your gear into a pocket, enjoy long listening sessions without constant charging, and want to show off your favorite team's colors, the SOAR NBA delivers exactly what you need.
• SOAR NBA: Offers 10 hours of continuous playtime and a foldable, lightweight over-ear design perfect for showing team pride, but lacks any noise cancellation or waterproof rating.
• LEVO Hybrid ANC Earbuds: Delivers 30dB active noise cancellation, IPX5 sweat resistance, and rich bass from 13mm drivers, though it has a shorter single-charge life of 4 hours without the case.
• Who each pick is for: Choose SOAR NBA for fans who want durable, stylish over-ears for casual listening; choose LEVO for athletes needing secure, sealed earbuds for intense training.
The SOAR NBA Wireless Over The Ear Bluetooth Headphones are built for the person who treats their audio gear as an extension of their fandom and lifestyle. The defining feature here is the official NBA licensing, meaning these aren't just generic headphones; they are a statement piece featuring your favorite team's logo and colors. For someone walking into a gym or a stadium, seeing that team branding on their gear adds a psychological boost that standard black plastic buds simply cannot match. The design focuses heavily on comfort for extended wear, utilizing a padded headband and comfort foam cushions. This makes them ideal for long commutes, game days, or those marathon practice sessions where you don't want pressure points forming on your ears after an hour.

Battery life is the standout technical specification for this model. With up to 10 hours of continuous music and talk time at 70% volume, you can easily get through multiple workouts, a full workday, and a long evening commute on a single charge. The recharge time is also reasonable at 1.5 to 2 hours via micro-USB. In a world where many premium earbuds struggle to last four hours on a single charge, the SOAR NBA offers a level of endurance that reduces the anxiety of finding a charger before your next session. The inclusion of a foldable design further enhances portability, allowing you to tuck them away easily in a gym bag without taking up much space.
However, there are significant trade-offs you must accept. These headphones have zero active noise cancellation. If you are in a gym with blaring speakers, clanking weights, and general chaos, you will hear every bit of it. There is no physical seal like in-ear monitors, so sound leakage is possible. While the materials include sponge and plastic, relying on over-ear headphones in a high-sweat environment carries a risk of moisture damage to the electronics and cushioning over time. You should skip this product if you are looking for best over ear headphones for gym activities that involve heavy sweating or if you require total silence to maintain focus. It is best suited for moderate exercise, walking, or listening to podcasts in a controlled environment.
The LEVO Hybrid ANC Earbuds are engineered for the athlete who needs isolation and precision. The core of this product is its 30dB Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation technology. By using dual microphones to neutralize low-frequency ambient noise, these earbuds create a quiet bubble around you. This is a game-changer for the gym environment where background noise can be distracting. Whether you are trying to tune out the clatter of machinery or the chatter of a crowded fitness center, the LEVO allows you to lock into your own rhythm. The 60ms low-latency connection ensures that your audio stays perfectly synced with your movements, which is critical if you are following along with a high-energy workout video or gaming.
Durability and fit are equally important for this category. The LEVO earbuds come with an IPX5 waterproof rating, explicitly designed to handle sweat and rain. This means you can push through a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) session without worrying about moisture damaging the internal components. The "Comfort-Lock Fit" includes three sizes of medical-grade silicone tips to ensure a secure, noise-isolating seal. Unlike over-ear headphones that can slip or shift when you run or jump, these stay locked in place. The 13mm dynamic drivers provide a powerful bass response that punches harder than standard 10mm competitors, giving you that rhythmic drive needed to keep your pace up during tough sets.
The trade-off here lies in the battery management. While the total battery life including the case reaches 24 hours, the earbuds themselves offer only 4 hours of playback with ANC active on a single charge. This means you will likely need to pop them back into the case for a quick top-up if your workout exceeds an hour. Additionally, the lack of a foldable design means the case takes up more room in your pocket or gym bag compared to a collapsed pair of over-ear cans. You should skip this product if you prefer the feeling of large ear cups over small in-ear plugs or if you hate the idea of managing a charging case between sessions. It is the superior choice for anyone serious about performance and audio fidelity in demanding conditions.
• Best for battery life per charge → SOAR NBA: With 10 hours on a single charge versus 4 hours for the LEVO, the SOAR wins for long, uninterrupted sessions without reaching for a case.
• Best for noise isolation → LEVO Hybrid ANC Earbuds: The 30dB Active Noise Cancellation and physical seal of the LEVO far outperform the open design of the SOAR in blocking out gym noise.
• Best for durability against sweat → LEVO Hybrid ANC Earbuds: The IPX5 rating makes the LEVO safe for heavy sweating, whereas the SOAR lacks any water resistance certification.
• Best for team spirit and style → SOAR NBA: Only the SOAR offers officially licensed NBA branding and team colors, making it a unique fashion statement.
• Best for secure fit during movement → LEVO Hybrid ANC Earbuds: The medical-grade silicone tips and in-ear design prevent slipping during running or jumping, unlike the over-ear cup design.
• Best for bass depth → LEVO Hybrid ANC Earbuds: The 13mm drivers deliver deeper, more powerful bass compared to the standard dynamic drivers in the SOAR.
• Best for portability → SOAR NBA: The foldable design saves space, while the LEVO requires a dedicated carrying case.
• Best for call clarity in noisy areas → LEVO Hybrid ANC Earbuds: The hybrid ANC helps isolate your voice from background noise during calls, a feature the SOAR lacks.
After weighing the specifications and real-world use cases, I would buy the LEVO Hybrid ANC Earbuds. While the SOAR NBA is a fantastic product for casual listening and showing team pride, it falls short as a dedicated best foldable headphones for gym option due to the lack of sweat resistance and noise cancellation. The LEVO's IPX5 rating and 30dB ANC provide the necessary protection and focus required for high-intensity training. The 13mm drivers and secure fit ensure you get the audio quality and stability you need to push your limits. In my opinion, the added complexity of managing a charging case is a small price to pay for the performance benefits these earbuds offer in a gym setting.
Yes, the LEVO Hybrid ANC Earbuds feature an IPX5 waterproof rating, making them sweat-proof and rain-resistant, whereas the SOAR NBA does not list any water resistance rating.
The SOAR NBA lasts up to 10 hours on a single charge, while the LEVO Hybrid ANC Earbuds last approximately 4 hours with ANC enabled, though both include cases for extended total playtime.
Only the LEVO Hybrid ANC Earbuds offer 30dB Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation; the SOAR NBA does not have any noise control features.
The SOAR NBA is the only option with official NBA licensing, featuring your favorite team's logo and colors, while the LEVO comes in a standard black design.
