Astrophysical transients such as supernovae are important objects in the Universe. They provide heavy elements as well as dust to the interstellar medium through the nucleosynthesis in explosions. The transients also serve as a probe of stellar evolution. Recent wide-field high-cadence surveys have led to the early discoveries of transients and supernovae, providing evidence of circumstellar environments and explosion mechanisms. In addition, several types of new explosive phenomena that are not predicted by theory have been discovered with these observations. This workshop will be held to discuss recent findings on supernovae and related transients based on observational and theoretical studies.
