Transient & Supernova WS 2023
Dec 18-21, 2023 @Hotel Welview Kagoshima
Purpose
Transients and supernovae are important astrophyiscal objects in recent years. Nucleosynthesis in explosions, the providings of heavy elements and dust to the universe, and tool as a standard candle to unveil the accelerated cosmic expansion are very important background. In recent years, the wide-field high-cadence survey has led to the early-stage discoveries of transients and supernovae. It provides the evidence regarding circumstellar environments, stellar systemm and explosion mechanisms. Additionally, unknown explosive events that have not been predicted by theoretical study are discovered with observations. Their discoveries impact on explosion models and progenitor scenarios. This workshop will be held to discuss the origins of the new diversity of supernovae and transients based on observational and theoretical researches, and to share understandings on the new findings.
