Vibhi Shukla

Hello, I'm Vibhi, a rising freshman at North Creek High School. I'm interested in

science, specifically biology. Due to this, I have participated in the Science Olympiad club and have been a part of it for the past 2 years. My school introduced Science Olympiad for the first time when I was in 7th grade, and I took that chance to try something new. Last year, I

won 3rd place in regionals and 4th place at the state level of the competition. I have also represented my school at the Science Bowl competition. Similar to the Science Olympiad club, the Science Bowl competition was introduced for the first time at my school this year. The reason for joining these competitions is my fascination for life science. I find life science intriguing because learning about it helps me to understand myself and my surroundings better.I'm the director of community reach in the Seattle Neuroscience Education Initiative and director of educational content in the Seattle Fitness Education Initiative. In the future, I hope toconduct research on medical topics and give back to my community. Other than science, I've been playing flute in my school band for past 3 years, and I look forward joining high school band as well. I also occasionally like to play badminton, crochet, knit, and read (mostly mystery books). I also enjoy painting. Last year, sold some of my paintings and donated the earned money for feeding programs. I am very excited to be a part of “Nutrition Education Initiative” and to learn more about having a healthy diet and how it impacts us.
