Hi, I’m Nihar Phanse, a rising Freshman at Eastlake High School. My favorite subjects are Math and Science. My hobbies include playing Chess, Table Tennis, and an instrument called Tabla. I have won a 3.5-point award in the Washington Elementary State Chess Championship. Our VEX IQ robotics team won a teamwork championship award at a qualifying tournament that got us into the state championships in the 2023-24 year. I have been learning Tabla and have participated in multiple large concerts like the Seattle Northwest FolkLife Festival. My team won 2nd and 3rd place at the State level Science Olympiad 2021-22. As a 2-year member of the Junior Honor Society, I have volunteered in various community events, festivals, and musical concerts. To balance my interests in music and sports with academic performance, I've realized that maintaining good health is essential. This means focusing on healthy eating, like enjoying fruits, vegetables, lentils, and the delicious meals my mom prepares. This focus on health led me to join this initiative. Preparing for this presentation allowed me to explore how Ayurveda, one of the oldest medical sciences in the world, helps all of us lead a healthy lifestyle and share these valuable insights with the community.
