Hello! My name is Manvitha Kathula, and I’m a junior at Skyline High School. My dream is to become a neurologist because I’m fascinated by how the brain works and want to help people through medicine. To gain hands-on experience, I volunteer at Kaiser Permanente, where I assist doctors and engage with patients, learning firsthand about the healthcare field. Beyond medicine, I’m passionate about making a meaningful difference in the world. As a blogger for Wells Bring Hope, I write about Niger and the critical importance of clean water, aiming to raise awareness about global issues. At Kindering, where I served as a Classroom Support Volunteer, I worked closely with children who have intellectual, emotional, and developmental disabilities, an experience that has taught me the importance of empathy and inclusivity. Outside of academics and volunteering, I’m learning Carnatic music, which helps me stay connected to my cultural roots, and I have a love for reading fiction. At school, I’m actively involved in HOSA, the Red Cross, and the National Honor Society, where I’ve honed my leadership skills and contributed to positive change. As a co-founder of the Seattle Nutrition Education Initiative, I’m excited to further uplift our community by promoting healthy eating habits and overall wellness.
