Hello, my name is Ashley Mahajan, a rising freshman at Emerald Ridge High School. I aspire to become a physician specializing in immunology. My academic achievements include securing 1st place at the Washington State Science and Engineering Fair (WSSEF) and consistently placing in the top three at the Discovery Regional Science Fair since kindergarten. I am actively engaged in the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS), POWER Team, and the Community Service Club, where I focus on academic excellence, leadership, and community service. Beyond the classroom, I volunteer at the YMCA as a C.I.T., serve as a student body volunteer, and have interned with Camp Invention. I’ve been playing the piano for over eight years and tennis for five years, participating in both singles and doubles on hard courts. In my free time, I enjoy exploring nature, reading, baking, and playing chess. My curiosity drives my interest in nutrition's effects on health, which I have explored through my research on Ayurveda and infection symptoms. Through the Seattle Nutrition Education Initiative, I aim to further study nutrition’s influence on mental and physical well-being.
