How the auction works

2. Stay in the running
You will receive an email confirmation. If another bidder exceeds your bid, you will be notified and can bid again.

3. Auction closes: August 8, 2026 at 11:59 PM Pacific Time

4. Winning bidder
The winning bidder will have one week after the auction closes to fulfill their pledge directly through Obliteride's website.

Obliteride is Fred Hutch Cancer Center's signature fundraising event, where 100% of every dollar donated goes directly to the Fred Hutch research program or lab designated by each participant. Your support helps accelerate the discoveries that improve cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and patient care.

This auction benefits Dr. Christopher Childers' PAYOR (Payment and Outcomes Research) Lab. As a surgical oncologist at Fred Hutch and UW Medicine, Dr. Childers cares for patients with liver and pancreatic cancers while leading research to improve how healthcare policies and physician payment systems influence cancer care. The PAYOR Lab's work helps ensure that innovative, evidence-based treatments reach the patients who need them most.

*Between now and December 18th, 2026. Accommodations only. Winning bidder is responsible for all transportation, airfare, meals, and other travel-related expenses. The winning bidder will have one week to fulfill their pledge by making a donation through the Obliteride website, ensuring that 100% of the donation supports the PAYOR Lab at Fred Hutch Cancer Center. Fred Hutch Cancer Center will provide a receipt for tax deduction purposes.
