Privacy Policy for Snow Sort
Privacy Policy for Snow Sort
This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, how it is used, and the choices you have. The App is a
single-player offline puzzle game. We do not operate our own servers, we do not ask you to create an account, and we do
not knowingly collect personal information that identifies you. The only data leaving your device is the limited
information that our advertising provider (Google AdMob) needs to serve ads and remain compliant with applicable laws.
1. Summary (Plain English)
The App stores your game progress only on your device. We never see it.
We show ads via Google AdMob. AdMob may collect a limited set of identifiers and technical data to deliver ads, prevent
fraud, and (when you consent) personalize ads.
We send local re-engagement notifications from your device. Nothing is sent through a remote push server.
The App does not use third-party analytics, does not request your contacts, location, microphone, camera, photos, or
files.
The App is rated for everyone and is not directed at children under 13. No child-directed content is targeted.
2. Information Handled by the App
2.1 Information stored locally on your device
The App uses Android/iOS local storage (SharedPreferences) to remember your gameplay. This data never leaves your device
and is not transmitted to us:
Level progress, stars earned per level, best move counts.
Number of available hints and totals (levels completed, total stars, total moves).
Settings: music on/off, sound effects on/off, language preference (English or French).
Internal flags such as "first launch completed" and the interstitial-ads counter.
You can erase all of this at any time by clearing the App's storage in your device settings or by uninstalling the App.
2.2 Information collected by Google AdMob (advertising)
The App uses Google AdMob (provided by Google LLC and Google Ireland Ltd) to display banner, interstitial, rewarded, and
app-open ads. To do this, AdMob may automatically receive and process a limited set of data, which can include:
Mobile advertising identifiers — the Android Advertising ID (AAID) on Android, and the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA)
on iOS (only if you explicitly authorize tracking through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt).
Approximate (coarse) location derived from your IP address.
Device information: device model, operating system version, language, time zone, network type.
App information: app version, ad-unit interaction events (impressions, clicks).
SKAdNetwork data on iOS, used by Apple's privacy-preserving ad attribution framework.
Google uses this information to serve and measure ads, prevent fraud and abuse, and — only when you give consent — to
personalize ads. Google's use of data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy and
the Google Advertising Privacy & Terms: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
2.3 Consent for personalized ads (EEA, UK, Switzerland)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the App displays Google's User
Messaging Platform (UMP) consent form on first launch (and again on request). Through that form you can:
Consent to personalized ads, or
Choose non-personalized (contextual) ads, or
Manage individual purposes and partner vendors.
Non-personalized ads still rely on a limited set of data such as coarse location and device type for fraud prevention,
frequency capping, and aggregate reporting.
2.4 App Tracking Transparency (iOS 14.5 and later)
On iOS 14.5+, the App displays Apple's standard App Tracking Transparency prompt the first time AdMob initializes. If
you select "Ask App Not to Track", your IDFA is not used and ads are non-personalized. You can change this choice at any
time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
2.5 Local notifications
The App schedules a small number of local re-engagement reminders (typically after 1, 3, 7, 14, and 30 days from your
last app open) using the operating system's built-in scheduler. These notifications are generated entirely on your
device. The App does not use Firebase Cloud Messaging, Apple Push Notification service, or any other remote push
service. You can disable notifications at any time from your device settings, or revoke the runtime permission on
Android 13+.
2.6 What we do NOT collect
The App does not collect, request, or transmit:
Your name, email address, phone number, or postal address.
Your precise GPS location.
Your contacts, calendar, photos, microphone, camera, files, or SMS.
Health, fitness, payment, or financial data.
Account credentials of any kind (the App has no sign-in).
3. Permissions Used by the App
Each Android/iOS permission the App declares serves a specific, limited purpose:
Internet / Network state — required to load ads.
Advertising ID (Android AD_ID) — required for ad delivery and Google's frequency capping. You can reset or disable it
from Android system settings.
Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS on Android 13+, alert/badge/sound on iOS) — required to show local re-engagement
reminders.
Schedule exact alarms / Receive boot completed / Wake lock — required to make scheduled local notifications fire
reliably across reboots and dozing.
Vibrate — used for haptic feedback when notifications fire (when your device sound profile allows).
App Tracking Transparency (iOS) — required by Apple before any IDFA access.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. The only third party that processes information through the App is
Google, acting in its role as our advertising provider (AdMob), consent provider (UMP), and on-device ads SDK (including
Apple's SKAdNetwork on iOS). Google may share certain limited information with mediation partners and bidding networks
for the sole purpose of serving ads, in accordance with its own published policies.
5. Data Retention
Local game data remains on your device until you delete it (clear app storage, factory reset, or uninstall).
Advertising data processed by Google is retained according to Google's retention policies; please refer to Google's
Privacy Policy.
6. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live (EEA/UK, California, Brazil, Canada, etc.), you may have rights to access, correct, delete,
or restrict processing of personal information that is held about you, and to withdraw consent. Because we ourselves do
not collect identifiable personal information, most of these rights are exercised directly through:
Your device settings — to reset/disable the advertising ID, opt out of tracking, or revoke notification permission.
Google's controls — Ads Settings (https://adssettings.google.com) and the AdMob privacy controls.
The in-app consent options (EEA/UK/CH users) — re-open the consent form by reinstalling or by contacting us.
If you wish to exercise a right against the Developer specifically, contact us at dr97hsn@gmail.com. We will respond
within a reasonable period.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is suitable for general audiences but is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in
your jurisdiction, such as 16 in parts of the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If
you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at dr97hsn@gmail.com and we will take
appropriate action. We instruct Google AdMob to treat the App as a non-child-directed app; ads are not knowingly served
using interest-based personalization to children.
8. International Data Transfers
Google operates globally. Information processed by Google AdMob may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in
countries other than the country in which it was collected, including the United States. Google relies on appropriate
safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for international transfers; see Google's Privacy Policy for details.
9. Security
We design the App so that the personal data exposure surface is minimal — game data stays on your device and ad-related
data is handled directly by Google's SDKs over secure connections (HTTPS / TLS). No system can be guaranteed to be 100%
secure, but we take reasonable steps to keep the SDKs we depend on up to date.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect new features, new SDK versions, or changes
in the law. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this
page periodically. Material changes will be highlighted within the App or on this page.
