In-App Purchases and Google Play Billing SDK
When you purchase virtual goods, services, or subscriptions (such as memberships, premium features, or virtual items) through our app, we use the Google Play Billing SDK to process transactions. This SDK is provided by Google LLC ("Google"), and the specific data handling practices are as follows:
1. Types of Data Collected
The Google Play Billing SDK collects only the information necessary to complete transactions, including:
Your Google Account Association: A Google account ID used to verify purchase eligibility (no full account details like email or phone number are obtained unless you actively authorize login through Google).
Transaction Details: Order number, purchase timestamp, product name/type, price, payment method (e.g., last four digits of a credit card), and subscription terms (if applicable).
Device and Network Information: Device model, operating system version, and IP address (used to prevent fraudulent transactions).
2. Purpose of Data Collection
Transaction Execution and Benefit Delivery: To validate payment status and grant access to purchased virtual goods or services (e.g., unlocking premium features or delivering in-game items).
Compliance Management: To maintain transaction records as required by laws and regulations (e.g., for tax reporting) and respond to regulatory compliance reviews.
Experience Optimization: To analyze purchase behavior for improving product design (data is anonymized and not linked to personal identities).
3. Data Sharing and Processing
Data Recipients: The data above is processed directly by Google. We only receive transaction statuses (e.g., "purchase successful" or "subscription canceled") through the SDK and do not store your financial information (e.g., full credit card numbers).
Google’s Privacy Policy: Google’s collection, use, and protection of data comply with its Privacy Policy. You can view and manage your transaction history via Google Account’s Order History.
4. User Control Over Data
Manage Subscriptions and Purchases: You can adjust settings at any time through your Google Account:
Cancel subscriptions or disable auto-renewal (path: Google Play Store → Profile icon → "Payments & subscriptions" → "Subscriptions").
Request refunds or view invoices (path: Google Play Store → Profile icon → "Payments & subscriptions" → "Order history").
Withdraw Consent: If you refuse to use the Google Play Billing SDK, you will not be able to purchase virtual goods, but this will not affect access to the app’s free features.
5. Security Safeguards
The Google Play Billing SDK protects transaction data through HTTPS encryption and industry-standard security measures (e.g., PCI-DSS compliance). We do not access or store your sensitive payment information.
6. Scope of Application
This section applies only to virtual goods transactions. If you purchase physical goods or third-party services (if applicable) through our app, data handling for those will be managed independently by the corresponding payment providers (e.g., PayPal), as detailed in their respective privacy policies.
