Please refer to the NIFC Website below for the AD Pay Plans
(be advised the 2025 Pay Plan has yet to be posted)
AD Pay Plans | National Interagency Fire Center
ADs are classified by a general pay scale. Depending on the activities and qualifications will determine the rate of pay.
*Please note that the resource order MUST state what position you hold in order to be paid for that rate. Higher rates MUST be approved by the BLM Fire and Aviation Staff.
Also note that AD rates are a flat rate. What this means is that ADs are not eligible for Overtime pay, Hazard pay, Holiday Pay, & other premium pay. Regardless of the number of hours worked the AD rate at which you are hired at will be the only rate you will be paid.
