Level out your swatch sticks:
Swatch sticks can be used to test out different patterns and combinations.
Ensure the stick is level with the magnets and your work surface for best results. Try propping up the opposite end, outside of the frame. The cartridges work well if you have an extra.
Adjust the height of your puck or adapter:
You may want to pull the magnets further away to get a softer effect. The swatch on the left is almost touching the zig cartridge. The right is swatched with the adapter moved up a couple twists. The pattern is more diffused and the turns are not as crisp.
Experiment with angles and spinning:
The pucks can create various effects by spinning the wheel or keeping them still.
These swatches are created with the Vortex puck. Left to right:

Try different depths:
These swatches are both made with the Loopy cartridge. There are various loops that can be picked up depending on how close to the center you aim.
